Commentary:

China recorded active MTBE imports in 2010. The imports volume hit historical high in the year. However, oil product prices rose to high level in international market amid strong international crude benchmarks. MTBE imports turned slack in 2011 over negative import margin. In the mean time, domestic MTBE demand is still strong for producing high octane value gasoline.

◆ Why the MTBE demand sharply down since the May, 2011?
◆ Will the MTBE demand increase with China spreading GB Ⅳ gasoline instead of GB Ⅲ grade?
◆ How many new MTBE units will complete in the end of 2011?
◆ What are the specs of MTBE from the independent refineries?
◆ Will the Chinese buyer import more MTBE from other county?
