C1 Energy (Shanghai) – Sep 9, 2010 －－－PetroChina Kunlun Gas is expected to become the sole wholesale marketer of LPG in Heilongjiang Province in Northeast China, C1's survey found.
The company would take over LPG wholesale business of Lamadian Refinery on Sep 10, not long after taking over that of Anda Refinery.
Lamadian Refinery and Anda Refinery are independent refineries in Heilongjiang. Each of the two produces about 300mt per day of LPG, with saw gas supplied by PetroChina Daqing Petrochemical.
Up to now, most refineries in Heilongjiang have handed over LPG wholesale business to Kunlun Gas.
Kunlun Gas' monopoly would be conducive to survival of independent refineries to some extent, market sources denoted.
Kunlun Gas was also merging and acquiring LPG producers at the same time, according to the sources.
