Sep 07, 2010 18:12 PM

C1 Energy (Shanghai) – Sep 7, 2010 ---The aromatics workshop of PetroChina Fushun Petrochemical exploded after catching a fire Tuesday noon, as a result of which crude throughput for September might be slightly impacted, according to a refinery source.
The fire has been put off by 12:55 p.m., which caused no casualty and environment pollution, the source said.
No official news has been released so far.
As C1 reported earlier, Fushun Petrochemical planned to refine 800,000mt of crude in September, up 6% on month.
Fushun Petrochemical, located in Fushun City of Northeast China's Liaoning Province, has an annual crude processing capacity of 19-mil mt. It is capable of producing 180,000mt of ethylene per year. It mainly refines domestic crude from Daqing Oilfield and Liaohe Oilfield.
