Aug 31, 2010 16:04 PM

C1 Energy (Shanghai) – Aug 31, 2010 ---PetroChina Jinxi Petrochemical planned to refine 180,000mt of crude oil in September, with daily throughput sharply down 47% on month, a refinery source told C1.
The source also indicated the refinery had actually consumed 350,000mt of crude in August, up 60,000mt from the original target.
As C1 reported earlier, Jinxi Petrochemical's 1.5-mil-mt/yr coker was shut for a 45-day revamping since Aug 1. Besides, its 3-mil-mt/yr crude distillate unit and a fluid catalytic cracker went into maintenances mid-August, which would end in late September. All the units mentioned above would resume normal operation at the beginning of October.
Jinxi Petrochemical, located in Huludao City of Northeast China's Liaoning Province, has two crude distillate units with annual crude processing capacities of 3-mil mt and 4-mil mt, respectively. Its feedstock is mainly domestic crude oil from Daqing Oilfield and Liaohe Oilfield. It also consumes a small quantity of Russia sweet crude oil.
