C1 Energy (Shanghai) – Sep 9, 2010 ---PetroChina Lanzhou Petrochemical is slated to process 850,000mt of crude oil in September, with daily throughput sharply up 24% from the previous month, a refinery source told C1.
The refinery has resumed normal production since wrapping up maintenance of a 3-mil-mt/yr fluid catalytic cracker early September, the source said.
As C1 reported earlier, Lanzhou Petrochemical restarted a 5-mil-mt/yr crude distillate unit on Aug 21.
Lanzhou Petrochemical, located in Lanzhou of Northwest China's Gansu Province, has a topping capacity of 13-mil mt per year. It is equipped with a 1.4-mil-mt/yr delayed coker and two FCCs with annual capacity of 3-mil-mt and 1.4-mil mt, respectively. It supplies oil products to Southwest China via the Lanzhou-Chengdu-Chongqing Oil Product Pipeline. It is capable of producing 700,000mt of ethylene annually.
