C1 Energy (Shanghai) – Sep 8, 2010 －－－PetroChina Hohhot Refinery plans to provide PetroChina Dagang Petrochemical with 6,000mt of raw LPG in September, according to a source with the former refinery.
The raw LPG would be mainly used to produce propylene, propane and isobutylene, which account for over 60% of all components, the source introduced.
Dagang Petrochemical is estimated to produce 60-70mt more LPG each day, up 12-14%, C1's estimation showed.
The two refineries signed a long-term supply contract earlier, effective from this August, the source added.
Hohhot Refinery and Dagang Petrochemical both have crude processing capacity of 5-mil mt per year.
