C1 Energy (Shanghai) – Sep 8, 2010 －－－PetroChina Qinzhou refinery had to defer sale of the first LPG cargo by barge, a refinery source told C1.
The refinery has not yet reached normal LPG production and it consumed most of its LPG not long after coming on stream, the source explained.
It may not take a long time for Qinzhou refinery to start LPG supply, which mostly depends on operation state, the source believed.
A trader revealed Qinzhou refinery noticed customers early September to officially supply LPG on Sep 7, with 1,300mt available each day.
Qinzhou refinery is PetroChina's first large-scale refinery in Southwest China, capable of processing 10-mil mt of crude per year. It was put into production on Aug 28.
