Sinopec Wuhan Petchem to refine 7% less crude daily in Feb

Feb 09, 2010 13:42 PM

C1 Energy (Shanghai) – Feb 9, 2010 ---Sinopec Wuhan Petrochemical plans to process 360,000mt of crude in February, with daily throughput down 7% from the previous month, a source with the refinery told C1.
The refinery may not see gasoline output rise much in the month, although it would increased gasoline output ratio in response to parent's call, the source said.
Most refineries affiliated to Sinopec would guarantee their gasoline supply in February, due to favorable margins and expected firm demand in the coming Spring Festival holiday (Feb 13-19), the source added.
Wuhan Petrochemical, located in Wuhan City of Central China's Hubei Province, has a topping capacity of 5-mil mt annum with three crude distillate units equipped. It just runs a 5-mil-mt/yr CDU currently, because of poor ethylene production capacity.
